The Sundarbans,
covering an area
of 5770 sq. km of land and water, is the largest
mangrove forest in the world, which has protected
Bengal Tigers from natural disasters.
Crocodiles, deers, wild boars, otters, over
260 species of birds, etc., are also found in
this forest, besides being the habitat of the
Royal Bengal Tigers. Trip to the Sundarbans
by boat, enjoying with your friends is surely
the best thing to do in Bangladesh. The forest
is declared a World Heritage Site.
Day
1: Take the morning flight to Jessore
. On arrival, meet our representative and
drive to Mongla by bus. At Mongla, you will
board the waiting motor boat. Immediately
the lunch will be served as the boat will
start its journey towards the Forest. On way,
the boat will stop at Daingmari Forest station
to take the permit and pay the fees. The cruise
will continue till it gets dark and shall
anchor for the night at a suitable place near
a Forest Station. Overnight on the boat inside
the forest.
Day
2: Early in the morning, the boat
will resume its journey towards the Forest
which will continue till it reaches Kotka.
At Kotka, it might be possible to take a short
walk inside the forest and on the beach as
well. You can bath and swim here also. You
can also take short boat trip with small country
boat inside the narrow creeks to see the wild
life and birds. Overnight inside the Forest.
Day
3: Today, we shall try to offer you
some more forest activities, such as early
morning trip inside the narrow creeks with
small boat to see the wild life, walking inside
the forest and on the beach, etc. Around late
afternoon, the boat will start its journey
back towards Mongla and will stop near the
Forest Station either at Harintana or Supothi.
Overnight inside the Forest.
Day
4: Today, early in the morning, the
boat will resume its journey towards Mongla.
You will leave the boat at Mongla port immediately
after having an early lunch and drive to Jessore
airport to take the afternoon flight for Dhaka.
Arrival Dhaka in the evening.
