Day 01:
Leave Dhaka early in the morning by car / coach
for Srimongal. On way, at Teliapara forest you
will have your first bird watching stop. Here
you will spend some hours and during this time
you will explore this place from a bird watcher’s
point of view. You are likely to see rare forest-birds,
Bazas and Hornbills in this small forest. The
accompanied guide will assist you in all respects
and also serve you lunch (packet). In the afternoon
leave this place and arrive the guest house
of Bangladesh Tea Board at Srimongal for overnight
stay.
Day
02: After breakfast visit the Lawacherra
Forest only few kilometers away from the guest
house for bird watching. Here you will likely
to see a few species of Pheasents, Hornbills,
Forktails and Laughing-Thrushes. For lunch,
you will come back to the guest house and
then continue bird watching. Back to the guest
house for the overnight stay.
Day
03: After breakfast you will travel
by car / coach to Madhabkunda via Maulvibazar
and start bird-watching in a small forest
with a stream flowing through. Small passerines
, shy ground –dwellers, rare babblers
and thrushes will be the possible rewards
for you at this place. We can also take you
to the nearby Hail Haor. These Haors are natural
depressed lands holding water almost round
the year. Here we shall arrange a country
boat for you to move around and look for the
possible Raptors, rare water birds like Jacanas
and waders.
At around 15:00 you will turn back and drive
to Dhaka. Arrive Dhaka late in the evening.
